If you are one of the people who have helped make this trip possible for me, IŽd like to express my thanks here on the site. There have been many people who's encouragement and support have helped me pull it all together and set off on my dream journey, but specifically I want to mention Nora, my mother, for accepting I have to get this out of my system; my sisters Mary Jo and Nuala who have both been fantastic and helped me with all sorts of things (and are still helping me!), The mercurial and multi-talented Joel who is the wizard behind this website, and all my other friends who have put up with me droning on about this trip for the last god-knows-how-long, notably Dom and Ben. Also thanks to Andy who put me up in London, and Richard Cooper (formerly of Preston College motorcycle maintenance) who worked wonders on my bikeŽs suspension. I should also mention the rest of da boyz Dave, Martin and Rick. Oh and Ross, Brucie and Marky J probably sneak in too.
